Red is definitely the color I will always have in mind to describe my impression of Marrakesh; not only because I wore it almost everyday in different outfits(only by a happy coincidence) , but also because I had the impression that general city’s color hues tend to thrive for the red and yellow tones.
The big walls of Marrakesh are the biggest representation of this. They were built by Ali ibn Yusuf in 1122-1123 and along with the red sandstone buildings constructed in the city, is what gave the nickname of “Red City” or “Ochre City” to Marrakesh.
This is only a small teaser of my experience in this amazing city. A big photo diary is coming soon !
Big kiss from NY <3
