Étourdissant Cartier

A week ago I was invited to Cannes by Cartier for their annual High Jewellery presentation. At the same time, it became a trip full of surprises that soon became the most exciting and beautiful experience I have had in the French Riviera.
Since the first day, just after checking-in at the Majestic Barrière, we were taken by boat to La Guérite Island to enjoy of a private dinner hosted by Cartier’s CEO Stanislas de Quercize with guests like Sofia Coppola and Bianca Brandolini. Having an island just for us with lit candles and the sunset of the Côte d’Azur, made us decide that the trip was already worth it.
The next day we were taken by boat to Domaine des Oliviers, a magnificent residence with a garden that ended with the sea view, and after a lunch beside the swimming pool we were guided by Pierre Raneiro to fall in love with over 400 high jewellery pieces.
While announcing it was time for a cocktail -Cartier style- , the sound of helicopters arriving at the Villa wasn’t the only surprise, as we were then literally flown to the top of the mountains to drink champagne, fruit, and macarons with lots of laughs and the most unexpected scenery.
To end the unbelievable trip, Cartier prepared for each one of us a classy vintage car so we could drive to Picasso’s house for one last dinner with all of our friends. With a menu created the whole time by the 2 Michelin stars chef Bruno Oger, the night ended in what seemed to be a summer dream.
Thank you Cartier for such a perfect planning and for making us discover the real Cartier experience.
Hope you enjoy the visual diary!

The Flamboyant bracelet, with platinum, diamonds, emeralds, onyx, and coral beads that total more than 130 carats.
Without a doubt, one of the stars of Cartier’s presentation, was the newly re-acquired Romanov bracelet with an outstanding sapphire of 198 carats. It was one of the two sapphires worn on the dress of the tsarina Maria Feodorovna, the last grand dame of Imperial Russia.
