Montmartre, Paris
summer 2015
I wanted to share with you these images from summer time in Paris.
It was a perfect day where Mathieu and I spent our time walking around Montmartre, discovering new places in the neighborhood (at least to me) and just enjoying ourselves. No worries and no responsibilities, just like summer time ought to be.
Today, I was walking by a place in Soho NYC called Little Prince, a french little resto in the neighborhood, when nostalgia hit me. The end of this year will mark my third semester living in NYC and away from my home bases, Mexico City and Paris.
I have been missing waking up to the smell of my local boulangerie in Rue St Dominique or to the sound of Pony(my mini fox terry) wanting to go outside and run around L’esplanade des Invalides, the majestic Parisian landmark which happened to be just in front of my building in Rue Fabert.
I take comfort in knowing I still spend almost half of my time going back there and enjoying my beautiful Paris. I refer to this city as a real friend from whom I get a feeling of comfort and happiness just by walking its streets.
